Farrukh Habib, a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), along with his four siblings and four others, was apprehended in Gwadar on Thursday. Following his arrest, Habib’s brother approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking his release.
In the midst of these developments, the PTI appointed Rauf Hassan as the party’s secretary of information, a crucial role within the organization. Additionally, Shoaib Shaheen, a member of the party’s legal team, has been tasked with handling all legal matters related to the party and its former prime minister, Imran Khan.
These changes have occurred amidst ongoing pressure and a crackdown on the PTI, as its incarcerated party leader faces legal challenges. The party has also experienced the departure of key figures who once held important positions.
Furthermore, the party issued a strong statement condemning the re-arrest of its male and female members shortly after their release from prison.
