The Pakistani government has introduced the Benazir Nashunoma Program, with the aim of enhancing the nutrition of underprivileged children and pregnant mothers in the country. Online registration for this program began on July 2. This initiative is a part of the larger Ehsaas program, which is one of the largest government initiatives in Pakistan.

Benazir Nashonuma 2023 – What is it?
Under the Benazir Income Support Program, women in Pakistan are provided with Rs 25,000 to combat malnutrition, while children receive Rs 2,000. This program also aims to make healthcare services more accessible to beneficiary families. A technical group was convened by the Income Assistance for Benazir Board to restructure the Benazir Income Support Program, and subsequent meetings were held at 34 different locations.
Benazir Nashonuma 2023 – August Update
Initially, the Benazir Nashonuma Program was available in only 14 districts of the country. However, the Benazir Income Support Program Board has decided to expand the program to approximately 45 districts nationwide. All of these facilities are scheduled to be operational in August 2023. Only women already enrolled in the Benazir Income Support Program and meeting the program’s eligibility criteria will receive the Benazir Nashwa funds.
Eligibility Requirements
for Nashonuma Program Households with at least two boys under the age of two are eligible to receive financial assistance from the Benazir Nashunoma Program, which aims to reduce malnutrition rates in the region. Pregnant women will receive Rs 25,000, while young mothers will receive between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,500.
To access funding from the Benazir Nashunoma Program, women must undergo regular check-ups, including vaccinations or immunizations at no cost to them or the healthcare institution. Attendance at informational meetings is also mandatory. Initially launched in 14 regions across the country, if proven effective, the program will be expanded nationwide.
